• Business plan. Teams of 51 to 100 people can now subscribe to Business at $199 a month, one flat price with every feature, priority support and help moving from Harvest or Toggl. Upgrade from Individual or Team on the Subscription page; you pay only the prorated difference for the rest of the cycle.

• Plans say who they fit. Team covers up to 50 people. During the free trial you can invite up to 100, and when you subscribe the Subscription page shows which plans fit your team. A plan that is too small says how many people you have and how many it covers.
• The invite sheet tells you what to do at your limit. When a plan is full, the invite sheet explains it and offers Upgrade to Team, Upgrade to Business or Contact us, depending on your plan.
• Imported people take a seat when they join. People a time import adds from your history count toward your plan once they accept their invite, not before.

• The Jira app, in beta. A Quanta (beta) panel on every Jira Cloud issue: pick a project and task, type a duration or start a timer, and the entry lands in Quanta with the issue's key and title in its notes. Your pick is remembered per Jira project. A Jira site admin installs it once from Settings, then Integrations, then Jira, and each person connects their own account from any issue. Available on every paid plan. Read how it works.
• Entries link back to the issue. Time logged from Jira shows the issue key as a chip on the timer list, the weekly timesheet breakdown, a project's time entries and the detailed report. Click it to open the issue.
• See who's connected. The Jira page in settings lists the Jira sites you have connected, with a Disconnect button. Admins also see everyone in the workspace who logs time from Jira.

• Create and send. A new invoice can go straight to the client. Open the arrow next to Create Invoice and choose Create and send: the invoice is created and the send email opens, so you can check it before it goes.
• Create and mark as sent. When you deliver invoices yourself, or your accounting system emails them, a new invoice can skip the draft. Choose Create and mark as sent from the same arrow. Nothing is emailed, and with QuickBooks or Xero connected the invoice goes across the way any sent invoice does.

Improved

• Fixed-fee time counts as billable hours. On a fixed-fee project, time on a billable task, or with no task, now counts as billable in the Billable filter, the Detailed report, exports, client pages, the Team page and timesheet approvals. Invoicing is unchanged: the fee is what you invoice, so this time still carries no billable amount, and the Budget value column shows what it is worth against the fee.
• Managing project tasks is enough to manage a project's tasks. A role with Managing project tasks can now add tasks from the library, edit them, and switch Billable and Counts toward budget on the projects they can open, without also needing the workspace Tasks permissions. Setting a budget on a single task still takes a project manager.

Fixed

• Hours added in the Timer's week view stay on the right day. In a workspace that tracks durations only, an entry added from the week view by someone in a time zone ahead of the workspace's could show on the previous day in timesheets. It now lands on the day you pick.

New

• Thank your client when you record a payment. Record Payment has an Email a thank-you to the client box. It shows who the email goes to and sends once the payment is saved, with your logo and sender name, the amount received and anything still owing. Change the wording, or have the box ticked every time, under Settings > Invoicing > Payment thank-you. Each thank-you appears in the invoice's History tab.
• Edit a recorded payment. Under Payment History on any invoice, paid ones included, choose Edit from a payment's row menu to change its date, method, amount or notes.
• Project codes at a glance. A project's code now shows in front of its name on the timer, as [ACM-WEB] Website, on your entries, in the week and grid views and in the project picker. On the Projects list, turn on the Project code column under View.

• Bank Transfer comes first. Record Payment lists Bank Transfer at the top of Payment Method and selects it by default.
• The same date picker everywhere. Record Payment and Receive Payment use the calendar picker the rest of the app uses.

• New clients use your workspace currency. A client added while creating a project, or brought in by an import, now starts in your workspace currency instead of CAD.

• Start and end dates on projects. On a project's Details tab you can set a Start date and an End date. They're for reference and never stop anyone tracking time.
• See when a project is ending. Next to a project's name, a marker shows Ends in 5 days (and so on), then Ends today, then Past end date. On the Projects list, Start date and End date columns are available under View.
• A reminder before a project ends. The project's managers, or your admins when a project has no manager, get a notification and an email 14 days before the end date, and again the day after it if the project is still active. Change the 14 days, or turn the reminders off, under Settings > General > Project end dates.

Improved

• Sheets ask before throwing away your work. If you've changed something in a sheet, clicking outside it, the X, Esc or Cancel now asks Discard changes? instead of closing. Choose Keep editing to carry on. A sheet with no changes closes straight away, as before.
• A clear message when an invoice number is already taken in QuickBooks. If QuickBooks already has an invoice with the same number, the sync error now names the number and says to change it, instead of showing QuickBooks' raw error.

• Resend Invitation only where it applies. The Users list no longer offers Resend Invitation to people who have already joined. Invitations that haven't been accepted are resent from Pending invites.

New

• See everything you're still owed. The Status filter on Invoices has a new Outstanding option: every invoice you have sent that isn't fully paid, whether it shows Sent, Partially Paid or Overdue. Drafts you haven't sent stay out. It stays in the address, so a reload or a shared link keeps it.

• The Outstanding total leaves out drafts. It counts only invoices you have sent, the same ones the Outstanding filter lists.

• Each status filter lists the invoices showing that status. An invoice whose due date passed without anything else changing could still be listed under Sent and be missing from Overdue.

New

• Invoice emails link to the invoice online. Each invoice you send now carries a View invoice online button, or Pay invoice when Stripe is connected and online payments are on for the client and the invoice. The page shows the invoice, its payments and a PDF download, and your client doesn't need an account to open it. You no longer need the client portal for this.
• Share an invoice by link. On a sent invoice, Actions > Copy share link copies the same link, to paste into a message of your own. Revoke share link turns off every link to that invoice.
• Prefer to send the PDF only? Turn off Include an online invoice link under Workspace Settings > Invoicing > Online invoices. Invoice emails then carry the PDF alone, and links you already sent stop opening.
• Clients pay several invoices at once. In the client portal, Pay invoices on the invoices card opens a pay page with every unpaid invoice ticked; on an invoice link, the client's other unpaid invoices are listed under the invoice. Clients can untick invoices or use Edit amount to pay part. You get one payment, recorded on each invoice it paid, and one email listing them.
• Keep each link to its own invoice. Untick Let clients pay their other unpaid invoices from the link under Workspace Settings > Invoicing > Online invoices, or change it for one client on their Details tab.
• See when your client opens an invoice. Once your client opens an invoice online, from its link or in the client portal, the invoice shows Viewed and how long ago beside its status. Its History tab lists each visit as Viewed by client. Opens from a browser signed in to your workspace are listed as Opened by your team and don't count.

Improved

• Invoices read on phones and tablets. Line items fold onto the screen instead of running off it, and the online invoice shows its subject.
• Tidier invoice PDFs and emails. Amounts stay on one line and the notes keep their line breaks.
• Unpaid invoices in date order. When a client pays several invoices at once, the list runs from the oldest due date, with the invoice they opened marked Viewing in its place, and each tick box lines up with its invoice.
• One Pay button on invoice links. When the client's other unpaid invoices are listed on the page, the list's Pay button is the only one.
• An OK button you can always see. Lists where you pick several people, projects or tags keep OK at the bottom, however long the list.

New

• Sign in with Microsoft. The sign-in page has a Sign in with Microsoft button next to Google's, for work, school and personal Microsoft accounts. The first time, Quanta finds your account by your email address; after that it recognizes your Microsoft account directly. You can also sign up, or accept an invitation, with Microsoft.
• Require Microsoft sign-in. Admins can turn this on under Workspace Settings > Sign-in. Everyone in the workspace then signs in with their Microsoft account, so your Microsoft 365 setup decides who can get in, including when someone leaves. To turn it on, sign in with Microsoft yourself first.
• Microsoft in the desktop app. The desktop app has Continue with Microsoft too, from version 0.1.25.

Improved

• Clearer sign-in errors. When a Google or Microsoft sign-in can't go through, the sign-in page now says why, and switching to a workspace you can't enter tells you why instead of doing nothing.

New

• Drag invoice lines into order. Each line in the invoice sheet has a grip on its left once there are two or more. Drag a line up or down, or focus the grip and move it with Space and the arrow keys. The order you save is the order on the PDF, in the email, in the client portal and in QuickBooks or Xero.
• Search notes in the Detailed report. A search box next to the date range finds the entries whose notes contain what you type. It stays in the address, so a reload or a shared link keeps it, and selecting every matching entry or exporting covers only the entries it finds.
• Cost on non-billable work. Time on a non-billable project, or on a non-billable task, now counts its cost at the cost rate, so internal work shows what it cost. A non-billable project's Pricing tab takes a cost rate, and no billable rate. This applies to time logged from now on; changing a cost rate re-prices the open time it covers, as before.

Improved

• Clearer message on locked entries. Unlocking an entry in a submitted or approved week now says whose week it is and that the week has to be reopened from Timesheets first.
• A low limit of 0 means no low limit. On a budget, a Low limit of 0 now means there isn't one instead of an error, and clearing the field removes it.
• Steadier under heavy use. Reports and timers read time faster in busy workspaces, and the public API runs up to two requests at a time per workspace, with up to twenty more waiting their turn. Beyond that it answers 429 with Retry-After: 2, so one busy integration can't slow everyone else down.

Fixed

• Invoice links keep working with the client portal off. Turning off Client portal access for a client no longer breaks the online link to an invoice you have already sent them.
• Create invoice from the Uninvoiced report picks the client again. For part of October 1 the invoice opened without the client selected.

New

• Rates come in with your import. Importing a CSV with rate columns, such as a Harvest export, now fills in each new project's rates from the file: a project rate, person or task rates where people or tasks were billed differently, and cost rates by person. On the review step a project with tasks is priced by Project and person rates or Task rates, pre-set from the file, and on task-priced projects each task has its own Rate. Tasks come in billable only if the file billed them, and a billable row the file gave no rate stays unpriced instead of taking the project's rate. Projects you map onto existing ones keep the rates they have.
• Mark as sent and create in QuickBooks. QuickBooks has no draft invoices, so on an invoice you have not sent, the QuickBooks item in Actions now reads Mark as sent and create in QuickBooks and does both in one step, without emailing the invoice. Use it when you send invoices from QuickBooks. Xero workspaces that create invoices as drafts still send an unsent invoice across as a Xero draft.

Improved

• Newest entries first. In workspaces set to Duration only, each day's entries now list the newest at the top: an entry moves up when you add it or stop its timer, including after resuming it. Changing its duration or notes leaves it where it is. List and Week show the same order, and it no longer changes when you reload. Workspaces on Full time tracking keep their entries in time order.
• Pickers search as you type. Every client and project picker opens on the first 50 and searches as you type, so workspaces with thousands of clients or projects reach all of them. The timer lists your most recent projects first.
• No more "No task" or "No notes" on invoice lines. With one line per time entry, an entry without a task or notes now leaves that part out of the line instead of printing a placeholder.

Fixed

• Mark as Sent on an invoice past its due date. An invoice you had not sent lost Mark as Sent from its menu once its due date passed.
• Pausing the timer stays paused. Coming back to the timer and pausing straight away could bring the timer and its description back.
• Add entry saves once. On a slow connection, extra clicks on Add entry could save the same entry more than once. It now shows Adding… until the entry is saved, and the play and pause button shows a spinner while it works.

New

• A page for each client. Click a client's name on a project, in Clients, or on the Projects page grouped by client. It opens on this month: total and billable hours, revenue for people who can see it, each active retainer with how much of its allowance is used, and the client's active projects with their budgets. Edit the client, preview their portal, open the Detailed report for them or Create invoice from the top.
• Group Projects by client. On Projects, View → Group → By client puts each client's projects under a header row with how many there are and their hours. Your choice is remembered in your browser.
• View budgets on every project. A new role permission under Administration → Roles. People with it see the budget on every project they can open, whatever that project's own "who sees the budget" setting says. Money budgets still show amounts only to people who can see revenue.
• Re-import without duplicates. Import the same file again, or an export that overlaps one you already brought in, and entries already in Quanta are skipped (Skip duplicate entries is on by default). Clients, projects and tasks you already have, deactivated ones included, are offered as Map to instead of being created again.

• Lists remember where you were. Search, filters, sort and page are kept in the address, so Back from a record, a reload or a shared link brings you to the same list.
• Where to open visibility for everyone. Under a project's who-sees-what settings, and in Project defaults, a note points to the role permissions that open them on every project at once.

Fixed

• Closing a large workspace finishes. Close Account could time out on workspaces with a long history.
• Purge All Data works when someone else approves timesheets. It stopped partway when a teammate other than you was a timesheet approver.

New

• Type a duration however you write it. Every duration box reads the same shorthand: :34 is 34 minutes, 2: is two hours, 1:30, 1.5 and 1,5 are an hour and a half, and units work too, as in 2h 15m, 1h30, 90m or 45 min. It applies to the timer, the week and grid views, and when you edit an entry.
• A plain number is always hours. 8 is eight hours wherever you type it. A single entry can't be longer than 24 hours, so typing 45 meaning minutes now tells you so and suggests :45 or 45m, instead of saving 45 hours.
• Reopen an approved week. On Timesheets, an approved week has a Reopen option in its menu. The person can edit their hours again and resubmits the week for approval. Entries that are already on an invoice stay locked.
• Filters as chips. Reports, Projects, Invoices, Expenses, Budgets and a project's time entries show each filter in use as a chip, and + Add filter brings in the rest. Which filters a page shows is remembered in your browser, but their values are not.
• Resizable columns on Projects and Clients. Drag a column edge to widen or narrow it, the same as on the reports and invoices. Widths are remembered in your browser.
• One View menu on every table. Group, show or hide columns and set rows per page from View at the top of each table. Column widths and choices are remembered in your browser, and groups can be collapsed. Clients and Projects now page like every other table.

Improved

• The hours box is quicker to correct. Clicking into it selects what's there, so typing replaces it.
• Picking a date range takes two clicks. Pick a start and an end date and the calendar closes, the same way picking a preset like This Month does.
• The client portal chooses sensible time to show. Unless you pick otherwise, clients see approved time if your workspace approves timesheets and invoiced time if it doesn't, so a new portal is never empty for want of approvals. A project's Client Portal tab says which time its client sees and warns you when that would be nothing yet.
• Reports share one frame. The Detailed, Summary and Budget reports use the same header and link to each other, the totals sit inside the results, and rounding is a switch in the tab row.
• The client portal, card payments and retainer auto-pay are marked Beta. They work today, and we're refining them with the first agencies who use them.
• Audit logs load quickly on large workspaces.

• Create Invoice leaves out projects you bill elsewhere. Projects with Invoice through Quanta turned off no longer appear in the project list when you create an invoice, and their project page no longer shows Create invoice.
• The Summary report respects the Billable and Invoiced filters. They were always treated as "All".

New

• Create the customer when there's nothing to link. When no QuickBooks customer or Xero contact matches a client, the customer picker offers to create one named after the client and links it straight away. It works from the client's QuickBooks or Xero tab and from the link dialog on an invoice that failed to sync, which then syncs the invoice again. If a customer with exactly that name already exists, Quanta links it instead of making a duplicate.

• A tidier customer picker. The search list now lines up with the field above it and the "no match" message sits properly inside it.

New

• The retainer page tells you what needs doing. When a card is declined or expired, an invoice is overdue, billing hasn't run, a period was billed twice or a block is past its hours, a banner at the top says so and offers the button that fixes it.
• Summary cards for every retainer. The fee, this period's usage against the allowance (or the block's balance) and when the next invoice goes out, at a glance.
• Usage by period. Each closed period's hours against the allowance, with a trend across them and the invoices each one settled. On a prepaid block, the Ledger now shows the time logged between purchases and the balance after each.

• The deal, payment and internal settings side by side. A retainer's terms sit next to a Payment card (auto-pay and the saved card) and the settings your client never sees.
• Retainer invoices show where auto-pay stands. Each invoice says whether its charge is scheduled, paid, waiting on your client, declined or skipped, with buttons to copy its link or email it.
• Time entries work the same everywhere. On a retainer, a project and the detailed report, columns resize, filters sit in the column headers, entries group by day or person, and a strip shows the total for what you're looking at.
• Tabs are easier to scan. Section tabs across the app are now underlined, and on project, retainer and settings pages they sit inside the card they switch.
• Notices are easier to spot. Warnings, errors and confirmations have a tinted background everywhere they appear.

Fixed

• Billable totals keep currencies apart. On the detailed report, a period with clients billed in different currencies shows one billable total per currency instead of adding them together.
• Filtering by a tag that no entry carries shows nothing. It used to fall back to showing every entry in the range.
• Statistics follow the report's filters. The Statistics tab on the detailed report now respects the billable, invoiced and currency filters, and the summary report's Statistics respects its currency filter.

New

• Retainer auto-pay. Your client saves a card once from a retainer invoice, and every retainer invoice after it is charged when it goes out. Choose Charge when sent to review each draft first, or Fully automatic for a retainer billed the same amount every period. Retainers That Pay Themselves has the details.

Improved

• Each tax on its own line. Invoices in the client portal show GST and QST (or whatever taxes apply) separately instead of one Tax line, and a 0% tax line shows as it does on the PDF.
• The retainer on an invoice is easier to read. The price leads, start date and billing sit in their own boxes, and what's included is listed with the tax and the total for each period.
• Stripe Checkout says what the total includes. Paying an invoice by card now shows which taxes are in the amount.
• Auto-pay goes through the invoice. On a retainer's page, Email invoice sends the retainer's invoice (or sends the unpaid one again) and Copy invoice link copies its link, so your client always sets up auto-pay from the invoice they're paying.

New

• Submit a timesheet week in advance. Going on leave? Step forward to a future week on the Timer and submit it before you go, zero-hour weeks included. Weeks under the minimum hours ask for a note as usual, and an approver can approve a week submitted in advance straight away.
• Retainer details on retainer invoices. A retainer invoice shared with your client shows the retainer itself: price, start date, billing, what's included, this period's usage, and the other invoices for that retainer.

• The Timer's next-week arrow now works from the current week.

• Budget report permission. The Budget Report has its own permission under Time entry reports, so you can share it without granting administration. Money budgets show amounts only to people who can view revenue; everyone else sees the percentage used. Hours budgets are shown in full.

• Who sees what, per project. A project's Team tab has four settings: who sees everyone's time, the budget, revenue, and cost. Each one is Managers, Leads, Members or Everyone, and each option includes the roles above it. Project defaults have the same settings, and new and imported projects copy them. The Team Members table shows what each person can see.
• View revenue and View cost are separate permissions. A role can see what a project bills without seeing what it costs, or the reverse. Profit needs both. Reports, exports and the dashboard follow the same two permissions for their money columns.
• Budget month by month. For recurring budgets, the project chart has a Budget measure with one bar per period against the budget line, grouped by task or person. Click a bar to filter the time entries below to that period.

Improved

• With "Require a task" on, the task pickers no longer offer "(No task)" under a project that has tasks.
• While Quanta is updating, you see a banner instead of error messages. Pages load by themselves when it's back, and a save made during the update asks you to try again.
• Invite emails come from your workspace by name, say who invited the person, and include the link as plain text under the button.
• The Detailed report is simpler: "Warning entries only" and "Include amounts" are gone, and the amount columns start hidden in the Columns menu.

• The project chart no longer shifts calendar days by your browser's time zone.

• Link an existing Stripe account. The Stripe panel now offers to connect the account your business already trades on, ahead of creating a new one. Stripe asks you to approve the link and you come straight back; there's no onboarding to repeat. Creating a new account still works as before.
• Bank payments that clear later now pay the invoice. ACH and other bank debits take a few days to settle. The invoice is marked paid when the money clears, and a debit that fails leaves the invoice owing so your client can pay again.

• Public projects are open to the whole workspace. Every member can find and open a public project, seeing their own time and no amounts. Private projects still need membership.

New

• QuickBooks imports are now available when enabled in QuickBooks settings. Choose invoices to review before bringing QuickBooks details into Quanta, including the invoice number. Differences stay in review until you choose which values to apply.
• Pull recorded QuickBooks payments onto individual invoices or in a batch. Existing payments are matched so importing again does not duplicate them.

• Invoice actions now group QuickBooks options with the rest of the invoice actions, and invoice lists provide clearer filters for date, status, and client.

Invoices awaiting payment sit right under the project name, then the project's status side by side: retainer usage this period, budget used, fixed fee billed, and time logged, whichever apply. • Durations in the portal read as hours and minutes (58:30) instead of decimals.
• Nothing is shown twice: the status blocks are the summary, and the sections below only add what they cannot say, such as previous retainer periods or per-task budgets. Hours by task has column headers.

• Projects created before the portal launched were pinned to "budget display: Off" instead of inheriting the workspace default, so a shared budget did not appear for clients. They now inherit.
• The portal no longer fails for a client that has no currency set; it uses the workspace's.

• The portal's time entries page is a real table. Sort by date, person, task, hours or amount, filter by person or task from the column headers, search notes from the Notes header, resize columns, choose which to show, and pick how many rows per page. The link carries all of it, so a client can send a colleague exactly the view they were looking at. Download CSV honours the same sort and filters.
• Long notes show in full on hover, on the time entries page and in the project's recent entries.
• The invoice list has a client filter beside the status filter, and sorting by client now works.

Fixed

• A project's "Budget display" setting is respected even when the workspace default is Hidden. Before, the workspace default silently won and the budget block never appeared.
• Leaving Stripe without paying no longer locks the invoice behind "Payment in progress" for an hour. The button reads "Continue paying" and takes the client straight back into the same checkout.

New

• Preview portal. On a client or on a project's Client Portal tab, open the portal exactly as that client sees it, in a new tab. It works before you switch the portal on for your workspace, so you can decide with the real thing in front of you. Payments are off in preview and nothing is recorded on the client's account.
• Pay from the invoice email. Once your workspace has the client portal, every invoice you send (and every automatic reminder) carries a button to the invoice online. It reads Pay invoice when Stripe is connected and online payments are on for that client and invoice, and View invoice online otherwise. The send sheet's preview shows the button you are about to send.

• Copying an invoice's share link no longer cancels the earlier links, so the button in an email you already sent keeps working. Revoking still turns every link off.
• Quanta's fee on portal card payments is now 0.1% of the payment, down from 0.5%.

• Invoice share links. Share one invoice with a secure link when a full portal invitation is unnecessary. Links can be replaced or revoked at any time.

• Bulk actions on the detailed report. Select entries and use the bar to mark them invoiced elsewhere (or not), billable or non-billable, locked or unlocked, or delete them. "Select all N matching" reaches every entry the current filters cover, not just the page. Entries that can't change (invoiced in Quanta, on a submitted week, someone else's) stay selected with the reason. The old top-of-page Lock / Unlock buttons, which acted on everything the filters matched with no count shown, are gone; lock and unlock now act on a selection like everything else.
• Contact name on invoices is now a choice. By default an invoice names only the client. Turn on "Show the contact name on invoices" under Settings, Invoicing, to print the bill-to contact under the client on the PDF and in the invoice email. The contact still receives the email either way.

Improved

• Payment instructions moved to the bottom of the invoice PDF, after the totals and any note, where the reader looks once they know what they owe. The invoice email already listed them last.
• Long invoices print properly. Column headings repeat on every page of the PDF, and the totals, note and payment instructions are never split across a page.
• Amounts on the PDF and in the invoice email carry their currency symbol, with the currency named once on the amount due ("$16,644.90 CAD"). Whole quantities print as "3" rather than "3.00".
• API: time entries carry an invoiced flag for work billed outside Quanta. Set it on a single update or the batch endpoint; it appears in the read model and the change feed.
• An invoice is overdue from the day after its due day, not from the start of the due day. Payment reminders count days overdue the same way.
• Tables, search boxes, dropdowns and secondary buttons now sit on white in light mode instead of blending into the page, so lists are easier to read. The active tab in a tab strip is white too. Dark mode keeps its current tones.
• Long project and client names in the timer's project picker show their full text on hover.

Fixed

• Invoice dates follow your workspace's calendar day. A due date picked as the 20th reached Xero and QuickBooks as the 19th for workspaces east of UTC, and the invoice date could go across a day early. The PDF, the invoice email, reminders, "day of the following month" terms, retainer invoice dates, and project fee dates now all use the day you see in Quanta.
• Weekly timesheets, rate cut-offs and project fee days for workspaces east of UTC (Europe, India, Australia, New Zealand) were a day late: Monday's entries landed on the previous week's sheet, a rate change "from today" skipped today, and fees showed a day off in reports. Existing timesheets pick up the right entries on their next load.
• Duration-only workspaces no longer see an "Ends next day, check the times" warning on a short entry after starting or resuming a timer.
• The project fee billing tab no longer shows fee days a day early for workspaces west of UTC.

New

• Move time entries in bulk. On the detailed report, select entries and choose Move to project. They move to the project (and a task on it, if you pick one), are re-priced at that project's rates, and the budgets on both sides update. Locked, invoiced and submitted entries stay put and are listed with the reason.
• Admins can correct a member's name. Edit a person under Users and change their first or last name; it applies wherever they log in.
• Default project colours. Set a default colour on a client, or one for the whole workspace under Project defaults. New projects take the form's colour, then the client's, then the workspace's.
• Credit lines on invoices. An invoice line can carry a negative price for a discount or a credit. A credit larger than the rest of the invoice is refused.
• Yearly retainers. Retainers can now bill yearly, alongside monthly and quarterly, for maintenance plans billed once a year.
• Zero-rate tax profiles can be created for clients you bill without tax.
• Create an invoice from the project page, with only that project's time, and see the client's name in the project header.

Improved

• The invoice project picker hides projects with nothing to bill.
• The "Project fee:" prefix on imported fixed-fee lines can be switched off under Settings.
• Invoice line descriptions and the time entries attached to an invoice print dates in your workspace's invoice date format and timezone; the detailed report export names the workspace's calendar day.
• "Require a task" is now enforced for entries saved from the desktop app and the MCP as well as the web.
• Switching the week start re-dates open timesheets to the new week label.
• Rate and setup help text on the client and project forms; project and task colours stay readable in dark mode.

• Two payments recorded at the same moment can no longer overpay an invoice.

Fixed

• Switching "Week starts on" no longer locks the current week. A workspace that moved from Monday to Sunday (or back) with timesheet approval on found its current week's timesheets dated under the old convention, so logging time was refused with "not allowed to make changes to time entries in the past or future without a timesheet", and saving a timesheet group created a second, empty timesheet for every week. Every timesheet lookup now recognises a week under either label. Existing timesheets keep their dates; the new first day applies from the next week on.
• A timesheet group edited after the switch keeps its start week. The group's start date and each member's start are now read as the week they name rather than recomputed, so no extra week is created before the first real one.
• The desktop app (0.1.20) follows the workspace's first day of the week in its week strip and total.

New

• Resume picks up where you left off. In a workspace that tracks by duration, pressing play on one of today's entries continues that entry instead of adding a second row, so pausing and resuming the same task adds up in one line. Entries from other days, locked entries and invoiced entries still start a fresh entry, as before. Workspaces that track start and end times are unchanged.

• Adjust the running duration. Tracking by duration, click the running clock and type how long you have been at it ("2:15"); the timer continues from there. Start/end-time workspaces keep the start-time editor.

• Weeks can start on Sunday. Settings → Timesheets has a "Week starts on" choice, Monday (the default, nothing changes for existing workspaces) or Sunday. The timer's week and grid views, the list's week grouping, This Week and Last Week in reports, team capacity, weekly budgets and weekly reminders all follow it. Timesheets already created keep their days; new ones start on the chosen day from the following week.

Improved

• Resume recent chips follow the same rule: today's entry continues, anything older starts fresh.
• Pressing play on an entry while another timer runs now stops and saves the running one first, then continues the one you pressed. It used to do nothing.

New

• Payment terms on a day of the month. Alongside "net 30" style terms, an invoice can now be due on a chosen day of the following month, such as the 20th. Set a default term for the workspace under Settings, and override it per client, per retainer or on a single invoice.
• Invoice date format. Choose how dates print on invoices, in the invoice email and in payment reminders: long form, or day-first and month-first numeric forms.
• Your rounding rule, set once. Under Settings, choose the increment (6, 10, 12, 15, 30 or 60 minutes) and whether time rounds to the nearest step or always up. Invoice import, reports, exports and the dashboard all follow it, and every rounding checkbox now says what it will do, such as "Round durations up to 15 minutes". Existing workspaces stay on nearest 15 minutes until you change it.
• Project notes. A free-form notes field on the project for PO numbers, agreement dates, deliverables or anything the team should have to hand. It is never printed on an invoice. The projects export now includes code, client and notes.
• Names on invitations. When you invite someone you can type their first and last name, and that is how they appear in the workspace until they change it themselves. The invitation page shows the name for them to confirm.
• Xero drafts. A switch on the Xero page creates invoices in Xero as drafts for approval there. Payments recorded in Quanta wait until the invoice is approved, then post on their own.

Improved

• An invoice remembers the rounding rule it was built with, so changing the workspace rule later does not alter invoices already sent.
• Payment reminder emails print the due date in your invoice date format.

Fixed

• Accepting an invitation no longer replaces the person's name with one made from their email address.
• Dashboard hours no longer drift by a hundredth when rounding to increments that do not divide evenly into an hour.
• "Due on receipt" is kept when saving an invoice or a client.

New

• Rates now have a history. Every rate in Quanta (workspace, person, project, project member, task) is a timeline of rows, each with a start and end day. Open the rate panel to add a rate from a chosen day, move a row's start, change an amount, or delete a row and let its neighbour take over. Each change re-prices the open time it touches; locked, invoiced and hand-priced entries are left alone.
• See what priced an entry. The time entry editor shows where an entry's rate came from: which level, which window, or that it was typed by hand.
• Send history on invoices. Each invoice keeps a record of every send: who, when, to whom, with what subject.
• Duplicate an invoice from the invoices list to start the next one from the last.
• Payment instructions on every invoice. Set bank details or "pay by" wording once under Settings, and it prints under your address on the PDF and in the email. Any single invoice can change or clear its own copy.
• Subject line, note to customer, and a hidden memo. Invoices take a short subject (printed under the header and used as the email subject), a note the customer sees at the bottom, and a memo only your team sees. The memo goes to QuickBooks as the private note.
• Preview the email before you send. The send sheet shows the message the customer will get, block by block.

Improved

• Team members' rates can be edited from the project's Team tab.
• A first rate on a person or project can start on a chosen day instead of covering all prior time.

Fixed

• A new person or project rate no longer overwrites time that a project, member or task rate already prices.
• Editing a note, moving the date or changing the project on a hand-priced entry no longer replaces its rate.
• Time moved to a day no rate covers no longer keeps a stale rate.

New

• Fixed-fee projects can budget the fee. Time on a fixed-fee project now carries the rate it would have billed at, for the budget only. Pick "Fees for the whole project" and the budget is the fee itself: spend is hours times rate, so you can see how much of a flat fee the hours have used. Invoices, reports and revenue are unchanged, since the hours stay non-billable.
• Every currency in the picker. The currency dropdown lists all ISO currencies, with the common ones grouped at the top, and it can be typed into.

Improved

• Workspace settings are tidier: the organization name lives under General, and invoicing can be switched off for workspaces that do not bill.

Fixed

• Long sheets no longer stop scrolling after a dropdown opens inside them.
• A budget created for a project that already has one edits that budget instead of adding a second.

New

• Project defaults. A Project defaults sheet on the Projects page sets how every new project starts: type, whether it has tasks, tags, expenses and invoicing, billing mode and rates, fixed fee, the budget shape, and a default team with each person's role and rates. New projects open pre-filled.
• Duplicate a project to start a new one from an existing setup.
• Import asks about date order. When a CSV could be read as day/month or month/day, the import confirms which it is for the whole file, so a file from outside North America no longer lands days 1 to 12 on the wrong dates.

Improved

• The project picker lists recently used projects first, and project search matches on code as well as name.
• The projects list has a Created column.
• Sending feedback from the app gets a "We got your message" confirmation email.

New

• Undo this import. Every CSV import is recorded, and Undo removes exactly what that import created while keeping anything the workspace has used since. A 50,000-row import undoes in seconds.
• Big imports finish on their own. An import keeps running if you refresh or lose the connection, shows progress inside every phase, and accepts files up to 250 MB.
• The timer remembers Timer or Manual, whichever you used last.

Improved

• The import review step lets you decide in bulk: project status, and whether an idle project comes in archived.
• Invoices pushed to QuickBooks can use a service that sits under a category.

Fixed

• Date-only rows in an import now land at noon in the workspace timezone instead of UTC, which had put every entry of a workspace east of Greenwich a day late. A second pass over the same file is recognised across the date line.
• Names created by an import keep their casing (McDonald, not Mcdonald).
• Teammates created by an import can be invited: Resend invitation and Invite user both work for a member who never had an invitation, and never turn an existing owner back into a pending invite.
• Admins stay active when a subscription lapses, the expiry email links to the right place, and a member can switch workspaces from a locked one.
• The timer no longer demands a project on stop when it did not ask for one on start.

New

• Xero. Connect a Xero organisation under Integrations and Quanta pushes invoices and payments to it, the same way it does for QuickBooks. A workspace connects one accounting system at a time.

Fixed

• Payments recorded before an invoice had synced are no longer lost: every push, automatic or Sync now, also sends any payment on that invoice that never reached the ledger.
• Renaming a workspace to a name with the same login slug no longer changes the slug.

New

• Hourly, fixed fee or non-billable, per project, during import. The CSV import's per-project choice now offers the same three billing modes as the project sheet, with the agreed fee for a fixed-fee project. A fixed-fee or non-billable project takes its imported hours as cost only, so a flat-fee job does not show hours waiting to be invoiced that the fee already covers.

• Mapping imported rows onto an existing project keeps how that project bills; the review step warns when billable rows are about to land on a project that does not bill by the hour.
