Switching between workspaces

One login can belong to several companies. Here is how to move between them and create another.

Applies to:
Everyone

A workspace is one company's data. If you contract for two firms, or run an agency and a side business, each is its own workspace, and one login opens all of them.

Switch

Click the workspace name at the top of the sidebar. The menu lists every workspace your login belongs to; pick one and the app reloads into it. Your projects, time entries and permissions are whatever that workspace says they are.

The same menu has Settings (your personal settings), Create organization and Sign out.

Create another workspace

Choose Create organization from the workspace menu and enter an Organization Name. You become its first Admin, on its own trial and, later, its own subscription. It shares nothing with your other workspaces except your login.

Notes

  • Quanta remembers the last workspace you used and opens it next time.
  • A workspace whose subscription has ended is read-only, but you can still switch away from it to any of your others.
  • Someone can be an Admin in one workspace and a plain User in another.
